How to make your form multi-language

Modified on Tue, 1 Apr at 2:02 AM

In this article, we will explain how you can make your form multi-language. Watch our demonstration or read the article underneath.

A few steps are required to make your form multilingual. We will go through them now.

Step 1: Add supported languages

  • In order to enable a multilanguage form, go into the form settings and add the supported languages by clicking on the input box and selecting them. Select all the languages you wish to add and save your form.

Select the languages that you want to add and save your form to enable a multilingual form.

Step 2: Export your translations

  • On the top of your form, click on the Translations tab. This will take you to a new page where you can see and edit your translations.
  • To translate your form, click on the Export button. An Excel file will be generated that includes all the strings that can be translated on your multilingual form. Once ready, you can find it in the "Previous Imports/Exports" tab.

Click on export to export the translations from your multilingual form.

Step 3: Add the translations to your excel file

  • Open the Excel file and navigate to the language tabs for which you want to add translations. You will see a tab for generic form content and a tab for all questions.
  • In the Excel file, add your translations while keeping HTML tags intact if applicable, so as not to disrupt the user interface. Removing HTML tags may cause discrepancies in appearance compared to the default language.

You can find two tabs for each language added—one for generic content and one for questions—where you can directly translate.

Step 4: Import your translations back in

  • Once you're satisfied with your translations, import them back by selecting a file and pressing Import.
  • You will receive a success message as your translations process in the background. Avoid making changes during this time as it may affect translations. After completion, check import status for any errors or updates regarding processed translation changes.

Import your translation by selecting the file and clicking on Import.

Click on Previous Imports/Exports to check import status after completion.

Step 5: See your translations in the table

  • Once processing is complete, navigate to see updated Translations Table for added languages where changes are now live on your multilingual form—great job!

The updated translation table reflects all changes made after import completion.
